Welcome

A Certificate of Completion from the Welding Technology program virtually guarantees you an entry-level job in the career field because we enjoy a 100 percent placement rate for our graduates. Why does TSTC Harlingen enjoy such a high success rate? Our students work with the same equipment used by the industry. You will use welding processes such as gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, oxyacetylene gas welding and others in one of the best welding shops in Texas. Companies often send employees to our program for training because our instructors are familiar with quality professional standards. International corporations often tour our facility and discuss education techniques with our instructors.

With 120 welding stations and 40 oxyacetylene stations, our faculty fully utilizes laboratory time by emphasizing individualized training as you master performing fillet and groove welds in numerous positions or plan and fabricate welded projects. The Welding Technology program is a member of the American Welding Society Educational Institution and our student club engages members in special activities.

The student service-related offices at TSTC Harlingen offer expert advice about career placement, financial aid to pay for your education, scholarship availability and improving your academic skills. We welcome tours for prospective students to give you a close-up look at all the information you might desire.
