:: Steps To Joining Upward Bound

2. If interested, fill out the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound Application:

3. Submit a complete TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound application to your high school counselor.

4. An Upward Bound staff member will contact you by phone or in writing to review your application and ensure that the application is completed accurately. 

5. If the student is elegible for the program, the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound Student Selection Committee will contact the student and parent for an interview.

6. By November 30, 2009, students selected to participate in the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound program as nominated by the Student Selection Committee, will by notified in writing that they have been selected to participate in the Upward Bound program.

7. Students selected to join the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound will attend a Parent and Student orientation and interview.

8. Students not selected to join the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound program will be notified in writing that their student application will be placed on a waiting list. A student application will remain on file in the TSTC Harlingen Upward Bound office for one year.
