“The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education, enroll in, and graduate from institutions of post-secondary education.”—Our students will graduate from college! Upward Bound is a year round program sponsored by a grant through the U.S. Department of Education. The focus is to identify and select eligible high school students that are first generation college student or meet income guidelines. Our students gain academic enrichment through cultural events, college tours, and career exploration, all to enhance skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education. TSTC Upward Bound is currently accepting new students for the 2009-2010 school year and participate in our great Summer Program! Fill out and complete the student application at 2008-2009 UB Student Application Drop off application at your high school counselor's office. Deadline for applications is November 21, 2009 to be considered for acceptance in the program for 2009-2010. |
