Purpose Statement

The Training Resource Center (TRC) staff members provide technology and soft skill training at Texas State Technical College Harlingen.  Core activities include the development of in-house training to meet the needs of the TSTC College community and technology support services for faculty and staff.

Customer Service Principles

1. The TRC staff will respond carefully to customer needs and priorities by offering a wide variety of training sessions that meet the needs of both faculty and staff.

2. The TRC staff will ensure that qualified instructors conduct all training sessions.

3. Customer feedback will be the basis for continued improvement in the overall quality of services offered.

Customer Service Goals, Objectives, and Standards

1. All training sessions held in the TRC will be evaluated.

2. Requests sent to TRC staff members for the creation of  custom training will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and whenever possible the training will be provided.

3. A variety of training sessions geared to meet the needs of faculty and staff will be offered.

4. All instructors presenting training sessions in the TRC must themselves attend training to improve the skills for which they offer training.

5. The results of all evaluations of training sessions held in the TRC will be reviewed by the Associate Vice President for Student Learning to assure continual improvement.

Process for Receiving Information and Filling Complaints

The TRC staff will respond to all complaints.  Suggestions or complaints may be submitted in person, by telephone, by e-mail, or in writing to the TSTC Harlingen Customer Relations Representative.  All suggestions or complaints will be acknowledged and review.  Resolution will be completed within one week.
