CLINICAL BREAKDOWN

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE STUDENT OBJECTIVES:

During clinical experience, the Surgical Technology student should apply what he/she has learned in the classroom and laboratory setting.  The Surgical Technology student will assist the RN with circulating duties and will participate as a scrub tech, donning sterile O.R. attire, performing standard O.R. set-ups and implementing safe  patient care.   The student should obtain their assignments one day in advance so that he/she can review the required surgical procedure and research his/her assigned cases before arriving to the assigned clinical site.

Note: Please start processing admission requirements and financial aid early. Program accepts 24 students per class.
