POLICY
It is the policy of Texas State Technical College to recognize the academic achievement of students with scholastic honors awarded at the end of each term and at graduation.
PERTINENT INFORMATION
The Texas State Technical College system is committed to higher education in the State of Texas and recognizes the academic achievement of students through a system of term and graduation scholastic honors.
PROCEDURE
Term Scholastic Honors
Full-time students as of the end of term who earn standards of progress from term grade point average of 3.500 – 3.999 shall be recognized with the notation of ‘Vice-President's List’ on the official transcript.
Full-time students as of the end of the term who earn standards of progress term grade point average of 4.000 shall be recognized with the notation of ‘President’s List’ on the official transcript.
Part-time students as of the end of the term who earn standards of progress term grade point average of 3.750 – 4.000 shall be recognized for ‘Academic Achievement’.
Graduation Scholastic Honors
Graduation honors will be listed on the official transcript. Graduation honors will be awarded to students who graduate from a credit program based on the following cumulative grade point averages.
Board of Regents Honors: 4.000 cumulative grade point average
With Honors 3.500 - 3.999 grade point average
Student Notification of Honors
Student shall be notified in a timely manner whenever they have achieved term or graduation or scholastic honors.
