Cooperative Education Workstation Placement Assistance

This educational program integrates academic study with related professional training and experience. The Placement Office assists students in securing a workstation in the community, which gives students a chance to "earn while they learn."

On-Site Interviews

TSTC has a good rapport with industries who frequently schedule on-site interviews at the College. Appointments for the employers are scheduled by the Placement Office.

Student Employment (JOBank)

An updated job-bank, where job orders are filed, is kept by the Placement Office. The list contains both full-time and part-time employment opportunities.

Part-time Employment Assistance

Jobs are available on a part-time basis. We assist students in obtaining part-time employment.

Permanent File

Placement assistance does not stop when you graduate! As a TSTC graduate this service is continuous, which is why we maintain permanent files on all of our graduates! 

Resume Preparation Assistance. Do you need help in preparing your resume? Our office can help! Schedule an appointment and we will assist you on an individual level.

Interview Skills

If you need to brush up on your interviewing skills, we have literature on the subject, and we will conduct mock interviews to help you build your self-confidence in preparation for your actual interview.

Job Search and Survival Techniques.

The Placement Office has literature available to help you conduct your job search. Once you have found the right job, we will teach you survival skills for the workplace.

Career Information

Assistance with valuable information with regard to the job market, salaries, job locations, and TSTC programs of study is available for all students.

Employer Literature and DataBase File

Company literature and an updated employer database file is available at the Placement Office. There is a corresponding database file per program of study offered at TSTC Harlingen. Database information can be used to contact companies or to mail your resume.
