Welcome

The responsibility of the Public Information Office is to serve our students, administrators, faculty and staff with professional support that creates effective internal and external communication. Every decision, service and product that comes from the PIO is done in the best interest of TSTC Harlingen and its students.

The PIO provides a variety of products and services including brochures, news releases, fliers, special event packets, advertising capabilities and promotional activities.

In order to promote the best image possible, and to maintain high-quality communication on and off campus, the PIO must uphold the policies and procedures from the TSTC Systems Marketing & Public Relations Standards Manual.

The PIO is made up of a talented staff that includes our secretary Belia Salas; Dave Ralph, Communications Writer; Keri Gutierrez, Coordinator of Publications, and Melani Zuniga, Desktop Publishing Specialist.

Besides acting as a liaison between the college and the community, the PIO takes great pride in being able to serve our students and staff in any way possible. Each month, the PIO produces two monthly newsletters – The Mustang Messenger for students and TECHnicalities for faculty and staff – to help keep our college community abreast of the latest news, activities and accomplishments related to our campus.

Please feel free to stop by our office, located in the Auxiliary Services Building, right by the Valley International Airport, and pick up a TSTC catalog, course schedule or any program information of interest to you.

Sincerely,
Jackie Gilles
