Customer Service

Purpose Statement

The Student Success Office provides coordination and implementation of student success initiatives designed to promote technical program students' persistence until graduation and non-program students' transfer to colleges and universities. In addition, this office provides student success interventions to all students, including those not in a program or seeking transfer credit to another college or university.

Customer Service Principles

• Available to the college community as a resource for information and programs for Student Success.
• Communicate effectively with all aspects of the college community about the importance of Student Success initiatives.
• Provide Student Success services to the college community that enable and encourage increased retention and graduation rates.

Customer Service Goals

• To create office schedules that reflect the availability of a 40-hour work week.
• To design and implement at least one seminar/workshop per semester to communicate Student Success strategies that are geared toward different populations within the college community.
• To evaluate current Student Success services focused on maintaining, redesigning, or creating new services for increased persistence until graduation.

Process for Receiving Information and Filing Complaints

The Student Success Office will respond promptly to all complaints. Suggestions or complaints may be received in person, by telephone, by e-mail, or in writing to the TSTC Harlingen customer relations representative. All suggestions or complaints will be acknowledged and reviewed. Resolution will be completed in a timely manner.
