Pre-Tech Program - Allied Health

The Pre-Tech Program's Allied Health component is designed to assist students who wish to apply for the Surgical Technology  or Dental Hygiene Programs.  While completing prerequisite courses required prior to acceptance in these Allied Health programs, students participate in real-world learning experiences by attending observations and tours of actual work environments.

The Surgical Technology program is a demanding program and a challenging career choice.

•    Meet with a Pre-Tech Advisor for an overview of the Surgical Technology Program.
•    Complete the required prerequisite courses.
•    Attend an Information Session.
•    Attend an Observation/Tour and complete a Reflection assignment.
•    Show proof of required Immunizations (HEP A, HEP B, MMR, Varicella).
•    Turn in official Surgical Technology program application
•    Take HOBET exam.
