General Studies in Technology Program

The GST Program offers advisement and curriculum-based program design for first-time college technology program students, students who are not officially in a technology program due to a lack of completing program pre-requisites, students beginning the semester outside of the program cohort start date, and students entering with a GED.

The General Studies in Technology Program is a year-round program supported by a Title V grant through the U.S. Department of Education. The focus is to assist and guide students in developing an educational pathway toward program entry.

This program consists of the following advisement components:

  • Transfer EA Students (Associates to Bachelors)
  • Assist Allied Health (pre-dental hygiene and pre-surgical technology)
    •          students in scheduling, career preparation and experiential learning opportunities.
  • Assist GED recipients who desire to enter a technical field of study
