Curriculum Office

The Curriculum Office provides expertise, coordination, and support in curriculum development for new programs, curriculum revisions and updating for existing programs, class scheduling, and development and maintenance of degree audits for all semester credit programs.  The office is staffed with a coordinator of curriculum and two secretaries with knowledge and experience in computer information management systems for curriculum, academic program and scheduling.

Jose Angel Mendez, Coordinator of Curriculum

Mr. Mendez began employment here at TSTC in September 2001 in the Office of Collaborative Projects.  He obtained his Master of Education Administration in 2000 and his Bachelor of Science in 1997 from the  University of Texas at Brownsville.  Mr. Mendez has 12 years of experience in the educational setting and is currently involved with local school districts and universities assisting students to transition into TSTC.  Mr. Mendez is married with 3 children and resides in San Benito, Texas.

Jane Contreras, Secretary

Mrs. Contreras began her employment at TSTC in August, 1983 working in the Admissions and Registrar's Office.  In November, 2001, she began working in the Curriculum Office.  

Leticia Martinez, Departmental Secretary

Ms. Martinez began her employment at TSTC in October, 2006.   She is a graduate of the Business Office Technology program.
