US Dept. of Labor Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Programs for:

              Machinist and Tool & Die Maker

              Industrial Maintenance Technician

              Plastic Process Technician

              Quality Technician

 

Company trains employee on-the-job and benefits from increased skills.

Employee completes job related coursework and earns wages while learning.

  • These are long-term programs (3 and 4 years) for employees already  working in a skilled trade (or ready to enter the trade) working at a manufacturing company. 

  • The employer sponsors an apprentice in the program and commits to having an already skilled worker teach the apprentice the on-the-job skills required of the apprenticeship standards.

  •  The apprentice attends college courses, once or twice a week, to learn the theory related to the skills learned on-the-job.

  • Steady pay increases are required by the US Dept of Labor per an apprenticeship minimum wage schedule.

  • Apprentice earns a valuable, nationally recognized, US Dept of Labor Journeyperson’s Certificate.

  • Employee becomes a skilled craftsman in the time-honored tradition of apprenticeship.

  • Company saves with reduced downtime and scrap and increased productivity.
