What are Mustang Bucks?

The TSTC Harlingen ID card has a stored value credit program which are called Mustang Bucks. This is simply a method of depositing cash on your card, which can then be spent at various places on campus rather than carrying cash.

Load cash value - Mustang Bucks - onto your card, and then spend them on campus in the following locations.

  • Cafeteria
  • Bookstore
  • Copy machines
  • Bookstore vending machines
  • Coca-Cola vending machines (available at 1/3 of machines campuswide)
  • Snack vending machines (available at ½ of machines campuswide)

No need to carry cash on campus!

How do I purchase Mustang Bucks and have them loaded on my ID card?

There are three ways:

  1. Go to the cashier window in the Student Services Building. Make a payment of any amount for Mustang Bucks and have it placed on your card there.

  2. Go to the CSVT (Card System Value Terminal) located in the Learning Resource Center. It is located to the right when you enter the library, and looks like an ATM. Insert cash in any amount and have it placed on your ID card there.

  3. Request that any amount up to a limit of $50 be transferred from the financial aid credit Refund in your student account and placed on your ID card as Mustang Bucks.

If you see a reader installed on the front of a machine, it should accept Mustang Bucks as payment.
