Tips To Get You On Your Way...
Purpose of the Contest
Get slim and trim the fun way. Contestants will be competing with each other to see who will lose the most body mass and most weight loss. Everyone wins – because you lose the unwanted weight and develop healthy living habits. The winners will keep the entry fee.
Duration of the contest
October 1, 2008 through December 10, 2008
Participation Fee: $10.00
Rules
1. Entry fee to be paid at the cashiers and weigh in with campus nurse.
2. Complete the appropriate forms with campus nurse.
3. Emily Gonzales, campus nurse, will take your weight at the beginning of the contest. This information will be kept strictly confidential. A before and after picture will be taken and kept with your progress chart. You may weigh yourself as often as you like.
4. Diet pills, surgery, and or injections of any kind are strictly prohibited. Please lose weight the healthy way.
Late Entries
Late contestants may enter however please keep in mind you will be competing with those who started the contest on Day 1.
Determining the Winner
On December 10, 2008, two winners will be determined. The deciding factors will be based on most pounds lost and most loss of BMI (body mass index).
Available Resources on Campus
Monthly support meeting – the 2nd Wednesday of each month
12:00 noon, Location: Building I, Conference Room A (2nd floor)
Weekly e-mails will be sent to contestant offering helpful hints on how to have a healthier life style.
Weight Room: Field House employees will offer 1 hour training sessions on how to properly use weights.
TSTC Fieldhouse hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Aerobics: Schedule will be posted on the Website
Walking on Campus: From the planter to Building A it is a ¼ of a mile.
Cafeteria: Will offer one healthy dish everyday.
Library: Has an array of books set aside for maintaining a healthy living.
School Nurse: Will offer mini checkups such as: blood pressure, blood sugars, weight and
BMI (Body Mass Index)
Wellness Website: additional resources and websites that encourage healthy living.
