New Student Orientation
A New Student Orientation for the High School Equivalency Program will be held on Jan. 14, 2014 in the Cafeteria VIP Room from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the HEP office at 956-364-5405.
From January 6 through January 22, you can use your Financial Aid awards to buy books at the bookstore. Watch your registration statement in WebAdvisor to be sure your award has arrived in your account (you should see a credit balance). Then print your registration statement and take it with you to the bookstore to get your books. For further assistance, see the Advisement Center or Student Accounting in Building EK for assistance in printing your registration statement (or read the instructions on Student Accounting's website). Refunds will be sent to the students' Tech One cards on January 27.
Payment plans are now available for the Spring Semester. Log onto WebAdvisor and click on “TouchNet Payment Plans.” Before signing up for a payment plan, be sure your classes are exactly how you want them. You can enroll online using your credit card, debit card, or check as your payment. If paying cash, come to the Cashiers’ Office in Building EK to enroll and make your first payment.
Texas State Technical College is proud to announce the opening of the new Veterans Center located in the Student Center, Room 138. The Veterans Center will serve as a centralized point of contact to assist prospective and current veterans, veteran's dependents, and active-duty military students with navigating college resources to ensure a successful college experience.
Please help us encourage students to take advantage of our tutoring services. We have tutoring available in English 1301/1302, Math 1314, and History 1301 at the Learning Resource Center (LRC) 2nd floor. Additional tutoring services are available at different locations throughout campus in other subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, Developmental Reading/Writing/Math, and some technical programs.
