The Digital Imaging Technology office is located in the George F. Young Engineering Technology Center, between the Student Center and the Electronics-Computer Technology Building

Digital Imaging Technology

Students in this program will manipulate sound, still images, 3D images, animations and digital video on computers. This program will provide training in desktop publishing, painting, drawing, scanning, color correction, solids modeling, animation, sound editing, non-linear video editing, and web page creation.

Graduates of this program will find employment as desktop publishers, multimedia developers and producers, graphic artists, advertising specialists, commercial computer artists, educational software developers, electronic game developers, book publishers, web designers, technical product representatives, and job placement with newspapers and design companies.

Students must complete the admission requirements listed under "Admissions and Records" in the TSTC Harlingen Course Catalog.

What Do I Need To Apply?

To apply for general admission to Texas State Technical College Harlingen contact the Admissions Department at (956) 364-4325. Once an application for admission to TSTC Harlingen had been completed, a formal application to the Digital Imaging Technology program can be submitted. It is the prospective student's responsibility to contact the Program Chairman as soon as possible. The Digital Imaging Technology program is located in the George F. Young Engineering Technology Center.
