The Dental Hygiene Program at Texas State Technical College is committed to meeting student/customer needs by providing the highest level of service possible. We will:
- Communicate clearly, regularly, politely and honestly with each other and our customers
- Treat every co-worker and customer ethically and with care, respect and integrity
- Deal with underlying issues of the customer and provide services in a timely manner with accurate, thorough information
- Promote harmony, unity, and teamwork
The Dental Hygiene Program at Texas State Technical College maintains a student/customer policy that will include the following areas in the Customer Service Principles:
1. The Faculty and Staff of the Dental Hygiene Program shall maintain a professional image, easily accessible to all student/customers.
2. All Faculty and Staff of the Dental Hygiene must identify themselves and their Department by name when responding to telephone calls.
3. All Faculty and Staff is encouraged the use of a name badge.
4. Communication with student/customers will emphasize courtesy, accuracy and efficiency.
5. The Internet URL will be available to all students/customers. The website is user friendly.
6. Availability to toll-free number, and all faculty and staff phone number will be accessible to all students/customers.
7. Service Timeliness: The Dental Hygiene Program will respond to each student/customer inquiry in a timely manner irrespective of the nature or mode of the inquiry. Timely manner is described as:
- E-Mail questions are to be answered within two (2) working days.
- Written requests are to be answered within five (5) working days.
- Telephone request are to be answered as soon as possible, with a follow-up time period of two (2) working days except under extenuating circumstances.
8. All printed material from the Dental Hygiene Program are to be accurate and timely.
9. The Dental Hygiene Program will maintain a student/customer survey and all comments will be addressed.
Academic and student services related complaints are to follow the chain of command as outlined in the Student Handbook, which are available to all students.
Dental Hygiene Program Clinical Setting customer service related complaints are to be reported to the Dental Hygiene Program Chair.
