What do I need to apply?

To apply for general admission to Texas State Technical College Harlingen, contact the Admissions Department at (956) 364-4321 or 1-800 852-8784. Once the application process for admission to Texas State Technical College Harlingen has been completed, formal application to the Dental Assistant program must be submitted. The prospective student needs to contact Mrs. Barbara Bennett, Program Chair at (956) 364-4697. If necessary, students will be selected on the basis of their score on the Health Occupations Basic EntranceTest. The test will be administered in July. Students interested in applying to the program must call (956) 364-4310 to schedule a test date. The test will be given in the Counseling Office in the Student Center Building. The applicants can take the computer test between 8-1:30 Monday through Friday.  Payment of $30.00 is made at the cashier's office in the Student Service building and a receipt must be shown for admittance. The Dental Assistant program is located in the Senator Eddie Lucio Jr. Science and Health Technoloy Building.
