The Dental Assistant Program is fully accredited by the American Dental Association Joint Commission on Accreditation. The program received the accreditation on January 2001.

A Dental Assistant is a vitally important member of the dental office team. Dental Assisting requires challenging skills and is a growing career field that can offer many opportunities and benefits. A Dental Assistant should be friendly and polite and able to work well under pressure. Dental Assistants should be quick, efficient, good at listening to others, be concerned about people, and be able to stay calm in emergencies.
