An introduction to the fundamentals of equipment used in oxy-fuel and arc welding, including welding and cutting safety, basic oxy-fuel welding and cutting, and basic SMAW (stick) welding intruction in various welding positions on plate and/or pipe.

Intro to Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (Tig)

Course Code: WLDG - 1034

An introduction to the principles of gas tungsten arc welding equipment, and safe use of tools and equipment. Welding instructions will be taught in various welding positions, on plate or pipe. Note: If you are interested in taking the pipe section of this class you must have previous pipe welding experience.
