TSTC offers an 818-hour Basic Peace Officer Training, in conjunction with the Lower Rio Grande Development Council (LRGVDC) Regional Police Academy. Upon successful completion of the Basic Police Academy, the cadet is eligible to take the state required Peace Officer licensing exam that is taken on-line at TSTC. Eligibility Requirements Entrance Exams are scheduled on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please contact Christine Martinez at 956-364-4507 for next available dates and registration.
