The first of a three part series of courses in American Sign Language. This 32-hour course will introduce the students to sign language, finger spelling, and numbers. This course provides students with the basic functional communication skills with individuals who are hearing impaired. Book required. Price: $120

Conversational Sign Language II

The second of a three part series of courses in American Sign Language. This 32-hour course will help students to develop basic conversational skills through practice designed to improve communication with individuals who are hearing-impaired.  Book required. Price: $120

Intermediate Sign Language

The last of a three part series of courses in American Sign Language (ASL). This 32- hour course will help students to exhibit advanced skills in expressive and receptive ASL communication and initiating context specific conversations with individuals who are hearing-impaired. Conversational English for Beginners

Course Code:     COMG 1006                           

This 32-hour course will provide students with skills and knowledge that will allow the individual to be understood in speaking basic English. This course is designed for students who have little or no previous instruction in English. Emphasis will be on the spoken language and developing conversational fluency. Price: $120

Conversational Spanish for Beginners

Course Code: FRNL 1001                                

This 24-hour course will provide students with skills and knowledge that will allow the individual to be understood in speaking basic Spanish. This course is designed for students who have little or no previous instruction in Spanish. Emphasis will be on the spoken language and developing conversational fluency. Price: $120

Spanish I for Health Care Professionals

Course Code: SPNL 1002                              

This course is a 24-hour course that gives specialized instruction for healthcare employees in developing practical communication skills with Spanish speaking patients and families.  Class will meet at Valley Baptist Health Systems Hospital in Harlingen, TX.  This course will be scheduled when there is sufficient response from the healthcare community.
