Banking Principles

This principles course will give you an overview of the fundamental banking functions and the role of regulation in the banking industry. You will understand financial products and services of various markets. You will gain knowledge of fundamental banking terminology and functions of credit, deposit, and payment; identify the characteristics of banking products, services, and markets; describe the role of regulatory agencies and bank operations; and describe the role of technology as related to banking operations. Prerequisite for Bank Teller Course BNKG 1004. Book required.

Bank Teller Course

This teller course will be the foundation for preparing you for a new career in the banking industry. You will develop the skills needed to operate a teller window. During the course you will be exposed to principles of banking operations, bank security, practical knowledge of teller equipment, and customer transactions. You will be able to indentify the differences between negotiable instruments and recognize proper endorsements; demonostrate the ability to handle cash, indentify counterfeit bills, and balance teller drawers; and define the articulate bank terminology used specifically in a bank teller environment.
