The Communication and Humanities Department offer two student organizations advised by departmental faculty.

Humanities and Arts Society (HAS)
Purpose
The purpose of the club is the promotion, creation, and exhibition of diverse cultural arts in the community.           

Membership
Membership to this organization is free and open to any student, staff, or faculty member of Texas State Technical College Harlingen, who wishes to promote the purposes of the organization. 

Student Officers 
Students are elected for President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer positions at the beginning of each   
Fall semester.  These positions are valid for one year or by semester as determined by members of the organization. 

Meetings 
Student officers will announce all meetings with signage posted campuswide.
