Mission Statement
The operational focal point of the Office of Collaborative Projects (OCP) is to create an educational bridge between the Independent School Districts and TSTC Harlingen whereby high school students can convert qualified classes into college credit. These valuable "scholarly transactions" are carried out through several important programs specifically: Dual Enrollment, Advanced Technical Credit (Statewide Articulation), and other specialized programs. In addition, the OCP provides educational opportunities for two-year post-secondary students through upward articulations. The students who participate in these programs can save significant amounts of time and money as they advance to achieve their college aspirations following a seamless transition model. It is this worthwhile process that the Office of Collaborative Projects seeks to achieve on a daily basis by diligently reaching, serving, and advising students as well as creating and maintaining effective working partnerships with secondary and/or post-secondary administrators, instructors, and counselors. Finally, the OCP establishes, houses, and maintains all articulation agreements, as well as facilitates the alignment of curriculums, as needed, with our educational partners.
