Mission
The mission of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is to facilitate, support, and enhance teaching excellence and student learning; to communicate the importance of teaching and learning campus-wide; and to serve as a vehicle for learning-centered education at TSTC-Harlingen.
The CETL
- Provides opportunities and support for faculty to continue developing their teaching effectiveness through exposure to discussion, reflection, and experimentation.
- Provides opportunities and support for faculty as they implement the critical thinking framework with their students.
- Serves as an outlet for faculty to share with each other the innovative activities they are implementing in their classrooms.
- Promotes and supports a community of faculty where theory and practice of teaching and learning are shared.
- Promotes, supports, and enhances a successful learning environment for students through faculty support, development, growth, and renewal.
