Sat., Sun.: Closed Amendment 3 January 2011ACT Advisory Board Member voted to add 2 exams & charges to the following courses. The board meeting minutes will be filed soon in the Curriculum Office by the ACT Department Secretary. But we have the documentation in the ACT Office.
The following 2 courses have an exam added to them with cost charged to the students when they register for the course.
1. Refrigeration Principles HART 1407 Exam- ( Environmental Protection Agency, EPA) ($207.00 Prep-course & Exam) This exam is required by this federal agency for any technician to handle refrigeration tools & recovery equipment, purchase refrigerants to be EPA Certified.
2. Residential Air Conditioning HART 1441 Exam- (410a Refrigerant) ($207.00 Prep-course & Exam) This exam will allow HVAC Technicians to purchase the new a/c equipment that comes with new refrigerant in the system, to purchase refrigerant also. All a/c equipment being manufactured as of 2010 is coming out with this refrigerant and being required for all technicians purchasing, installing, repairing 410a equipment be certified.
Prep-course & exam will be through TSTC Continuing Education Department. |
