Welcome

Laboratory experience in Biomedical Engineering Technology keeps pace with procedures and technology used at modern medical and health facilities. You will apply up-to-date scientific and engineering knowledge using methods considered as standards in the health-care industry. The sophisticated electronic equipment in our laboratories and classrooms undergoes continual upgrades thanks to the support of industry and close ties maintained between our faculty and their business counterparts.

The curriculum leads you to a career as a specially trained electronics technician with an emphasis on medical or health-care applications. You will be directly responsible for the calibration, trouble-shooting and repair of computerized equipment at a hospital, clinic, medical school or an equipment manufacturing company. Advances in medicines and patient care require that BET graduates possess versatile, critical-thinking skills and achieve accurate, dependable results. Curriculum crosses several disciplines such as electronics, math, chemistry, physiology and physics. The diagnosis and treatment of patients often relies heavily upon the quality of your work.

We invite you to do some homework about our program and visit our campus. The BET program appeals to people who want to become technicians familiar with respirators, patient monitors, electrosurgical devices and X-ray machines and developing technologies. Financial aid and scholarships are available for many students. We hope you’ll join our students and faculty in our state-of-the-art facilities.
