Welcome

Laboratory experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology keeps pace with procedures and technology used at modern medical and health facilities and in mechatronics industries. You will apply up-to-date methods of electronic troubleshooting and standard safety codes in the healthcare industry. The medical devices and test equipment in our laboratories and class rooms will give the student hands on experience required for the Level One BMET position.

The curriculum leads you to a career as a specially trained electronics technician with an emphasis on electronics and medical or health-care applications. You will be directly responsible for the calibration, trouble-shooting and repair of computerized equipment at a hospital, clinic, medical school or an equipment manufacturing company. Advances in medicine and patient care require that the BMET graduate posses versatile critical-thinking skills and achieve accurate, dependable results. The curriculum crosses several disciplines such as electronics, electromechanical, math,  physiology and sciences. The diagnosis and treatment of patients often relies heavily upon the quality of your work.

We invite you to do some research on our  program and visit our campus. The BET program appeals to people who want to become technicians  and seek skills that will open employment opportunities with new up coming industries, especially in the healthcare fields.
