DEPARTMENT GOALS AND PRINCIPLES
The Purpose of this unit is to provide and maintain a high quality
associate degree level of technical education program to provide the
Biomedical facilities in Texas with highly trained Technicians, who
posses up-to-date knowledge, skills and safe work ethics, in the
Biomedical field and to help our students in obtaining initial
employment.
We will value each student through our professional
attitude, competence, and efficiency. We will welcome input and feedback
and will use that to improve our performance.
EXPECTATIONS
As a customer you can expect us to:
Treat
each customer with professionalism and respect.
Provide and maintain a competent faculty
The
Department will attend to the needs of the customer in a timely
manner.
The
Department makes it a priority to value and respond to customer
feedback in a timely manner.
Provide and maintain a fully equipped and up to date Biomedical
laboratory.
GOALS
Our customer service goals are to:
1. Provide each student with a course information
sheet, instructors telephone numbers, and a copy of the Texas State
Technical College Harlingen handbook.
2. Utilize Advisory Committee input, attend seminars
and set personal growth goals in order to be more effective in the
classroom and in working and interacting with students.
3. Students will be seen on a walk in basis and it
is a priority of the instructors and lab assistants to be readily
available to the students.
4. Providing a suggestion box for student input.
