Welcome

Contractors want to hire Texas State Technical College Harlingen graduates because our students gain skills necessary to keep pace with government codes and inspections for buildings ranging from residential to industrial.

Our faculty has strong ties with the Harlingen Area Builders Association, which generously makes regular donations to the BCT scholarship fund. You could apply for scholarship funds and faculty decide upon the scholarship awards. The recipients sometimes decide whether to use the scholarships for tuition, books, travel costs for school or other education-related purposes.

We look forward to giving you hands-on experience in developing your blueprint, carpentry, drafting, finishing and roofing skills. More details about the BCT program are available through the College Information Office; plus, you are welcome to visit our well-equipped facilities by scheduling a tour and meeting with students in our program. I encourage our instructors to work with students individually to plan a career path and course schedules.
