Aviation Maintenance Technology
Every year, approximately 2 billion people worldwide take to the skies in a sleek jumbo jet, helicopter, or even a small private plane. Qualified, licensed aviation maintenance technicians make it possible. These aviation maintenance technicians help keep America moving — millions of passengers, tons of cargo, and even the mail!
Why Choose TSTC?
As the only FAA- certified aviation maintenance program in South Texas, TSTC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology Program offers its students the opportunity of a great career anywhere in the world that aircraft fly. Our 43,000 square-foot facility houses certificated aircraft, piston and turbine engine run-up stations, electrical and hydraulic system trainers, and much more. Upon completion of the course, students are eligible for FAA licensing in airframe and powerplant (A&P), as well as an Associate of Applied Science degree or Certificate of Completion from TSTC. Our graduates find ample opportunity for employment in an industry with a growing demand for aviation maintenance technicians with jobs locally, statewide, and across the nation.
Is this program for me?

We train students from a wide variety of backgrounds — from former military aircraft technicians to those who may have never even seen an airplane up close. Two years of excellent instruction combined with hands-on application and experience will prepare all students to enter the workforce with skill and confidence. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify, so a college education is more affordable than ever.
