Welcome

Our four instructors bring a combined total of more than 50 years of teaching experience and a combined total of more than 60 years of business and industry experience to the classrooms and laboratories. These instructors maintain close ties to their colleagues in the business community to guarantee realistic projects for you and they regularly modify curriculum to reflect industry standards.

Graduates with an Associate of Applied Science degree or a Certificate of Completion enter the work force with the capabilities of installing and servicing air-conditioning systems, replacing refrigerant, operating specialized tools, and designing, sizing and fabricating duct systems. Prior to graduation, you are encouraged to become certified by the federal Environmental Protection Agency through a course and examination provided through the TSTC Harlingen Continuing Education Department. You also could gain an early start with professional contacts thanks to the student club on campus.

Many of our graduates work with service contractors, industrial plants, retirement centers, hospitals, motels, telecommunications companies, or they become self-employed and operate a business. Your career options should grow as you increase your involvement with our program. TSTC Harlingen takes pride in the variety of services and interests – financial aid, scholarship application, extra-curricular activities such as intramurals, student government – it allows students to explore. You’re invited to visit our campus to put you on the path to "Discover TSTC. Discover yourself."
