Congratulations to all of our TSTC Harlingen Fall 2011 Graduates!!

As your graduation day of December 9, 2011, approaches, I sincerely hope that you have decided to participate in your commencement ceremony.  I realize that you may have questions about what to expect.  Please click on the link below that will take you to a flyer in both English and Spanish that has been designed to answer all of your questions.  If you still have questions after reading this information, your contact for graduation requirements is Imelda Rodriguez in the Admissions Office at (956) 364-4103; for graduation ceremony questions Josie Saldivar in the Career Services Office at (956) 364-4131; and for cap and gown/announcements questions Susan Flores at the Bookstore (956) 364-4447.

I hope to see you at graduation rehearsal at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011, at the Cultural Arts Center on our campus.  By participating in a practice run of the ceremony, you will feel much more comfortable at your ceremony that same evening at 7:00 p.m.

If you are unable to attend the rehearsal, please be sure to arrive at the Wellness and Sports Center at 6:00 p.m. on December 9 for line-up.   If it is raining, we will line up in the Cultural Arts Center lobby. Shortly before 7:00 p.m. the procession will move from the Wellness and Sports Center to the Cultural Arts Center.  The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp!  You must be dressed in the official college regalia (cap and gown) to participate.  Do not add anything to the regalia that is not college-approved.  The ceremony will be recorded, and those participating will receive via mail a complimentary copy from the college.  Please be sure we have your correct mailing address in Web Advisor.  Also, the ceremony will be streamed live at the Wellness and Sports Center and on the Internet that evening.  The recording will be available for a few days thereafter at a link to be found on the TSTC Harlingen home web page at www.harlingen.tstc.edu

If you have not picked up your four tickets, they are still available at the Career Services Office located in Room 140 at the Student Center.  There are no more extra tickets available at this time.

Again, congratulations on your achievement, and I look forward to seeing you on Friday!
