TSTC Veterans Affairs (VA) - Montgomery G.I. Bill (Chapter 30)
The Montgomery G.I. Bill (Ch 30) program is set up for those veterans who served in the military on active duty.
Requirements:
- you paid into your G.I. Bill
- your discharge or release from the service was under conditions other than dishonorable.
You may be able to receive benefits for up to 36 months. You only have ten years after you separate from the service to use these benefits. A veteran under this program can receive a monthly check for full-time, 3/4 time and half-time enrollment. If a veteran is enrolled for less than half-time, then VA will only pay for tuition and fees.
All Chapter 30 participants must verify their attedance each month in order to receive payment. If you attended classes for the full month you cannot verify your attendance before the last calendar day of the month. If you attended classes for a partial month you can verify your attendance anytime after your enrollment ends. You can verify attendance online by clicking on "verify your attendance" or by call the verification line at 1(877)-823-2378.
