Grants - Federal Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) The ACG is available to undergraduate students who have successfully completed a 'rigorous secondary school program of study'. Eligibility is determined upon TSTC's receipt of the processed FAFSA. Students should complete and file the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, but no later than February 15 to ensure maximum eligibility. Awards range from $750 for first-year students up to $1,300 for second year students. To be considered for ACG a student must: (1) be a U.S. citizen; (2) be a Pell Grant recipient; (3) be enrolled full-time in the first or second academic year of his or her program of study at a two year or four-year degree-granting institution; (4) have at least a cumulative 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (as set forth in regulations to be promulgated soon). Eligible students will receive an award summary indicating that they are eligible for the ACG grant. Back to Grants |
