Goal #1: To Build a Quality Student for Transition into College

Objectives:

* Enhance critical thinking through project based learning activities

* Early college exposure to P-16 students

* Provide intensive academic/technical mentoring and advisement

* Maintain strong academic alignments with educational partners

Goal # 2: Fiscal Responsibility

Objectives:

* Self sustaining programs

* Support services for students such textbooks, tools, supplies, meals, dorms, and testing fees through grant funds

* Employment opportunities for students and staff

* Increase federal, state, and local grants      

* Provide scholarships for secondary and postsecondary students

Goal # 3: Enhance the College Image

Objectives:

* First in the TSTC College system to have a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Center

* Provide highly qualified staff who serve on local, state, and national organizations

* Evolve with changes and updates that DOE, TEA, or THECB implement

* Collaborate with colleges and universities to align TSTC Harlingen College Readiness & Advancement initiatives

*Continue to establish partnerships and working relationships with ISD's, workforce, local, state, and national organizations

*Provide statistical data that tracks CR&A performance, measures, and benchmarks

*Communicate with students, staff, and faculty senate on CR&A initiatives

Goal #4: Innovate Technology

Objectives:

* Implement innovative technology into CR&A curriculum

* Incorporate social media to promote and recruit for programs

*Incorporate online/distance learning classes for off campus students

*Enhance CR&A website by incorporating success stories, related statistics, and hyperlinks

*Enhance CR&A computer labs by adding up to date technolgy (Smart Boards, Graphing Calculators, Promethian Learning)
