Sat., Sun.: Closed COLLEGE READINESS & ADVANCEMENT 2011-2012 COLLEGE READINESS TEAM MOTTO: "One Voice Can Change the World" PURPOSE College Readiness & Advancement was created to reflect the true core values, vision, and mission of the division as aligned with the college’s overall mission and vision. VISION The vision of College Readiness & Advancement is to be a model of excellence with the TSTC system and to be recognized as a regional and national leader in "closing the gap" and "increasing access to the educational pipeline" for students from elementary to college that have been traditionally underserved and underrepresented. MISSION College Readiness & Advancement’s mission is to increase TSTC’s partnerships and collaborations with schools, community based organizations, local workforce agencies and government to ensure that students from the Rio Grande Valley are college ready. SERVICE The Division of College Readiness & Advancement initiates and implements over 20 outreach programs and projects serving thousands of students, parents, and educational professionals in the Rio Grande Valley. Over the past five years, the Division of College Readiness & Advancement has obtained millions of dollars in local, state, and federal grant funding to ensure a smooth educational pipeline to college.
