Auditing Classes

If you do don’t need credit for a course, consider auditing it.  An auditor attends class but doesn’t hand in papers, take part in discussions, receive evaluations, or earn credit.  To audit, fill out an Course Audit Form.

 

A student receiving appropriate approval may audit a college course.

Steps for auditing a course

  • Complete all admission requirements
  • Obtain faculty permission to audit the course on the Course Audit Form (available in the Office of Admissions & Records)
  • Deliver completed Course Audit Form to the Office of Admissions& Records prior to census date.  Student cannot change to audit status after the semester's census date has passed.
  • Contact the Business Office at 956.364.4410 concerning auditing fees.
