Admissions Checklist
After you've completed your Application for Admission online be sure to complete the process to REGISTER at TSTC. Follow the checklist below and you're on your way to becoming a TSTC student.
- If you are claiming Texas residency for tuition purposes, additional documentation may be needed that shows you have resided in the state for 12 months prior to registration.
- Academic Transcripts: Submit official high school transcript or GED certificate and all official college transcripts, if applicable, to the Admissions & Records Office. Financial Aid cannot be processed for students whose files lack official transcripts.
- If you have not met with a TSTC counselor in the Counseling, Advisement and Testing Center, you will need to do so prior to registration. Please allow at least three hours for testing and registration. If you have taken a state approved test, bring a copy of your test scores and a copy of your college transcripts for the counselor and your adviser to review for registration and scheduling.

New Student Orientation: All students enrolling for the first time at TSTC, including transitory college transfer students coming to TSTC for a mini-summer session, are required to complete New Student Orientation, either online or in person.
- Campus Housing: If you are required to live on campus or you are interested in single student or family housing, forward the completed Housing Application along with required deposit or contact the Housing Office for an application.
- Financial Aid: If you are applying for federal financial aid, complete the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid". Follow the directions and pay close attention to details such as filling in all blanks and adding TSTC's code: 009225.
- Support Services: The Support Services Office reflects TSTC Harlingen's commitment to meeting the special needs of individual students. This office coordinates with community assistance programs and serves as a resource for the Special Population Community of students which is defined as: Qualified Single Parents, Displaced Homemakers, Single expectant Mothers, Students Pursuing a Non-Traditional Program of Study and Qualified Disabled Students.
